The First Aid Unit Bundle includes both the First Aid Teacher Manual and the First Aid Adventure Journal (both as digital PDF downloads) for the Outdoor Survival: Applied Wilderness Skills curriculum. Designed for middle school and early high school students, this hands-on outdoor unit teaches students how to respond to injuries and medical emergencies when professional medical care is not immediately available.

Through structured outdoor activities and realistic emergency scenarios, students practice scene assessment, bleeding control, splinting, slings and swathes, concussion awareness, patient movement, and improvised evacuation techniques. Students apply concepts from health education, anatomy, communication, teamwork, problem solving, and risk assessment while developing practical real-world first aid skills.

The Teacher Manual provides full instructional guidance, lesson plans, safety considerations, assessments, and activity organization, while the Adventure Journal gives students a structured workbook for notes, diagrams, reflections, scenario activities, and performance-based learning tasks.

Designed for use during the school day, the curriculum combines direct instruction with extended outdoor application and hands-on scenario-based learning activities.
