The Tools Unit Bundle includes both the Tools Teacher Manual and the Tools Adventure Journal (both as digital PDF downloads) for the Outdoor Survival: Applied Wilderness Skills curriculum. Designed for middle school and early high school students, this hands-on outdoor unit teaches students how humans use tools, carving, cordage, and material knowledge to solve practical survival problems.

Through structured outdoor activities and skill-based projects, students safely use and maintain knives, carve functional wooden objects, create cordage from improvised and natural materials, and practice foundational bushcraft techniques. Students apply concepts from engineering design, materials science, craftsmanship, problem solving, and outdoor education while developing practical real-world skills.

The Teacher Manual provides full instructional guidance, lesson plans, safety considerations, assessments, and activity organization, while the Adventure Journal gives students a structured workbook for notes, diagrams, reflections, carving activities, and performance-based learning tasks.
